Brief Information: The Government of Pakistan’s Ministry of Climate Change and Environmental Coordination (MoCC & EC), in collaboration with UNICEF, has announced the launch of the Young Climate Fellowship Programme. This prestigious, one-year initiative is designed to nurture and empower talented young professionals with exceptional academic achievements and leadership potential, helping them to assist the Ministry in its climate initiatives. The programme offers a unique opportunity for fellows to contribute meaningfully to climate resilience and sustainability efforts. Fellows will engage in structured learning assignments and gain valuable hands-on experience by participating in key Ministry projects. Through this experience, fellows will develop a strong understanding of government policies, functions, and strategic priorities concerning climate change and environmental protection.
Eligible applicants must be between 20 to 32 years of age, hold a Ph.D., Master’s, or Professional Degree (16 years of education) from recognized local or international institutions in relevant fields such as Environmental Engineering, Disaster Risk Management, Forestry, Urban Planning, Climate Finance, and more. Preference will be given to candidates with relevant professional experience. Importantly, women are strongly encouraged to apply. Interested candidates must submit their applications within 15 days from the date of publication of the advertisement via www.mocc.gov.pk or www.NJP.gov.pk. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for tests and interviews, and no TA/DA will be provided.
